How does
the cobu system work?
The cobu system consists of a precise machine component and specially developed single-use components. Together, they enable a contamination-free, reproducible connection between containers and systems.

Prepare
First, the container fitted with the cobuRing is positioned. The ring can then simply be placed on the device to prepare it for secure docking.
Docking
The container docks automatically, while the residual liner is simultaneously ejected with the previous cobuRing and transferred cleanly into the waste port.
Filling & undocking
Once the container is docked, the product transfer begins - absolutely clean, safe and protected from external contamination. The neck of the container is then closed with a crimp, the container is undocked and the remaining liner is stored in the cobuRing.
Wasteport Discharging
The ejected rings in the waste port are reliably separated under containment conditions. Several containers can be produced in succession without having to empty the wasteport immediately - for greater efficiency.
The cobu-equipment
Various cobu modules in combination with the cobuRing form a complete ecosystem. Any packaging material can be assembled with a cobuRing and can thus be used with cobu modules. Consumables belong to the cobu consumables.
cobuFill: Filling
This cobu module can be used to fill containers that are connected via cobuRing. An integrated waste port enables the controlled discharge and disposal of the cobuRings with residual liner.
cobuCharge: Discharging
With this cobu module, full or partially filled containers connected via cobuRing can be safely Discharging. The integrated waste port ensures easy disposal of cobuRings with residual liner. Together with the cobuFill, it offers a perfect solution for transfer applications.
cobuRing
The cobuRing is the central element of the cobu system. It is the only way to securely dock packaging to a cobu module. Depending on requirements, the ring can be assembled by the customer or purchased ready-to-use as a cobuLiner or cobuBag.
cobuLiner
The continuous liner package with integrated cobuRing makes docking and application particularly easy. Thanks to the cobu system, no double O-ring technology is required.
cobuBag
FIBCs (big bags), transfer bags or customized flexible containers - all with integrated cobuRing and ready for use in your application.
